There are different springs which channel into lake Magadi during the stormy season in the Ngorongoro conservative area authority. The streams are a decent wellspring of water to the wild animals, the steers and the Masai people group as well. Wild animals stay in the crater during the wet season. In the dry season when there is less grass, they move outside the crater looking for greener fields.
